A Personal Project About a Difficult Topic
Unlike the other projects in this portfolio, this is a personal initiative driven entirely by my own motivation. I believe the discussion around assisted dying deserves more attention in the Czech Republic, yet many organizations advocating for legislative change struggle with outdated digital communication. This concept was created as an exploration of how such a sensitive topic could be presented in a more thoughtful and approachable way.
I am in contact with representatives of the organization behind the movement, who are supportive of the idea of an independent website. Unfortunately, despite considering it one of the most meaningful projects I've worked on, it remains unfinished due to the lack of dedicated funding and the reality of client work taking priority.
Oh, and I found the name is already taken, so will need to get back to the drawing board soon.

Designing Without Fear or Sadness
Most communication around assisted dying relies on images of suffering, illness, and loss. I wanted to explore a different direction—one that encourages reflection without creating feelings of despair.
The visual concept is built around empty chairs illuminated by warm sunlight. Someone is clearly absent, yet the atmosphere remains peaceful rather than tragic. The intention is not to focus on death itself, but on dignity, choice, and the possibility of a calm departure on one's own terms.
The idea is to have the entire scene animated—nothing too elaborate, just dust particles floating in the air, birds providing subtle background ambience, and gentle movement of leaves and shadows.
If you have any thoughs on this, please to let me know. I truly care if the concept works with people or not.
